1st Grade Teachers

Mrs. Kirkland is a first grade teacher here at Davenport School of the Arts. She is from Winter Haven, Florida. This is her second year of teaching. She attended The Baptist College Of Florida where she realized that she wanted to be a teacher. Her mother also inspired her to be a teacher and have a love for kids.

 
Mrs. Jesse is a first grade teacher here at Davenport School of the Arts. This is her second year here at DSA. She is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Lake Erie College in Ohio. She realized she wanted to be a teacher in high school. What inspires her to be a teacher is the love for kids and all the fun she has.
Mrs. Huffman is a 1st Grade teacher here at Davenport School of the Arts. She has been a teacher here for 17 years now. She is originally from Lyons, Ohio. She went to school at Lyons Elementary School and Evergreen High School. She has been married for 44 years to her husband, Steve. She has two adult children, Steven and Stephanie. Mrs. Huffman started her teaching career at Davenport Elementary in a portable on the P.E. field.
Ms. Jackson is a 1st grade teacher at our school. She has been teaching here for 19 years. Even growing up she has always wanted to teach. She has taught 1st and 3rd but 1st grade is her favorite! Ms. Jackson attended the University of South Florida. Outside of school, Ms. Jackson’s hobbies include exercising, singing gospel music, and politics. Ms. Jackson grew up in Dundee, Florida with 14 brothers and sisters!
