Mrs. Rodriguez

Mrs. Rodriguez has been teaching for two and a half years and all have been spent at D.S.A. She is originally from Miami, Florida and attended Florida International University. She realized she wanted to become a teacher when she became a substitute. She loves being a teacher because she loves seeing students' faces light up when they learn something new and it's fun.

Ms. Chilton

Ms. Chilton has been teaching for ten years and this is her second year at D.S.A. She was a subsitute for a year before becoming a classroom teacher. She has taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade but Fourth grade is her favorite. She taught at Bethune Academy before coming to D.S.A. Her Favorite subject to teach is Math. She grew up in a vey small town called Stockton, Kansas. She attended Stockton High school and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She has two sons named Dean and Will. "I'm glad to be part of the D.S.A. family!"

Mrs. Kmiec has been teaching for 18 years, but this is her first year at DSA! She teaches 4th grade. She got a bachelor of education from the University of Alberta. (In Canada) Originally, she was from Saskatchewan, but she decided to move after collage because of the cold. She now has two kids and a husband. In her spare time, she likes to shop, craft, camp, and be with her family. In the classroom, she likes to teach reading and encourages her students to practice their multiplication facts and read AR books.
