Welcome to DSA!

Preparing for Pre-k:

You can help prepare your child for Pre-k by helkping them with their motor-skills. Such as learning how to use scissors, learning how to write, solving puzzles, vocabulary, and ABC knowledge. You should also teach your child how to do things by themselves, such as putting on their jacket, taking out their lunch, and etc.

Preparing for Kindergarten:

If your little one is done with Pre-k they need some helpful tips for Kindergarten. Some tips include using complete sentences, speaking verbally to their teachers, recognizing numbers and letters, and learning compound words.

Advice has been provided by Pre-k teacher, Latoya Rich.

Meet the Pre-K teachers!

Latoya Rich is a Pre-K teacher. She has been a teacher for four and a half years. She has an Associate's degree and is working on a Bachelors of Science from Liberty University. She was born in Germany, and as a military kid, she grew up there, and on the East Coast. In her free time she enjoys shopping and taking her kids to Lake Eva park. At home or outside the classroom her students should work on knowing and recognizing their alphabet, understanding the concept of 1-10, and writing their first and last name.
