Our second grade teachers

Mrs. Cranston has taught for thirteen years total, and has taught second grade for four. She is originally from Bangkok, Thailand and went to college at Florida Southern college. She realized she wanted to be a teacher in High school when she tutored students after school. She loved seeing the joy on their faces when the high school students she was tutoring were learning and finally understanding the concept of the lesson. She would like to wish her students a fun loving year and all the best success!   Mrs. Morris has been teaching for 26 years and has been teaching at D.S.A. for 23 years. She is originally from Kentucky and went to college at the University of South Florida. She knew she wanted to be a teacher from the time she was really little. She used to line up all her stuffed animals and dolls and practice teaching on them. She wishes that she could help her students see how beautiful they are inside and out, and that anything they dare to dream can come true if they just believe in themselves and try hard enough. "I love them more than pizza is yummy!" is what she says about her students!

Mrs. Kobs has been at D.S.A. for fourteen years. She is originally from Davenport, Florida and went to Polk State college then Warner Southern college. She enjoys teaching the kids how to get along and be friends. She realized she wanted to become a teacher after she had kids. She wanted to be able to see her kids during the summer. She loves reading to the students and seeing the glow in their eyes when they hear a new story. Mrs. Kobs would like to wish her students a fun and educational year!   Mrs. Fowler has been a teacher at D.S.A. for 5 years, and has been teaching for a total of 11 years. She is originally from Homer, Georgia and went to Piedmont College in Athens, Georgia for her bachelor and master degrees in Early Childhood Education. She realized she wanted to be a teacher in High school when one of her teachers inspired her and she also enjoyed school. She loves to travel and see new places. She has been to Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand! She has also been on several mission trips including Jamaica and Mexico. She says "you can achieve anything you put your mind to!" to her students.
