Meet The Teachers

Mr. Harold C. Wright is the current director of choirs at Davenport School of the Arts. He comes to us from Ohio where he went to college and earned his Bachelors of Music Education Degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, Conservatory of Music. While in Ohio, Mr. Wright got the chance to study with the leading choral directors of the state. He also sang in the top choir at Baldwin-Wallace all fours years of his studies. “Getting the opportunity to teach at DSA surely opened my mind to more opportunities and makes me push myself and set more goals for me personally and for my students who study under my direction,” he stated.
This year will be his fourth year at DSA and his third year directing the middle school choirs. It is a goal and mission to teach the basics of singing to all while pushing for excellence and exceeding expectations set by previous choirs here at Davenport School of the Arts, according to Mr. Wright. “I am excited to see where our choirs will go this year! So many great things can be made possible with hard work, dedication to the art, and a personal want to be something amazing and above the rest! Don’t settle for less for anything better than your best!”
One more thing,

“As the world teaches one to be an individual, music teaches a world of individuals to be one!”
~Harold Wright

Ms.Ann McFall graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. This is her fourth year teaching music in Polk County and her first year at DSA. She teaches elementary music, elementary piano and is the director of the Davenport Singers and the Primary Choir.
